Pioneer Waste Management is a Waste & Recycling facility located in Taren Point (just 5 minutes south of Captain Cook Bridge). We endeavour to sort and recycle as many products as possible before they are transferred to landfill.

We accept the following products free of charge:
  • Motor Oil
  • Vehicle batteries
  • Paint tins (however they must be empty and contain no liquid paint)
  • Scrap metal (all ferrous and non-ferrous metal products)
  • Cardboard and paper
  • Computers, printers, toner cartridges, etc.

We accept the following products for a small fee:
  • Gas bottles $5 (under 9kg)
  • Gas bottles $18 (over 9kg)
  • LPG bottles $25
  • TV’s $10
  • Mattresses $47 (not including base)

We accept the following products for a fee (per weight):
  • Garden organics (however, not soil)
  • Palm trees & fronds
  • Timber
  • Bricks & concrete (clean)
  • Mixed dry waste

We also provide the following collection services:

Pioneer Waste Management is a drop off recycling facility and does not provide a pick-up service.
